> Dear Kiritani-sensee,
> Recently, I received a request from a former student (Jennifer
> White), who is doing work on endosymbionts of insects. She would
> like to compare the symbiont communities in several species of
> insects in their native and invaded ranges. I was wondering if you
> could direct me to people in Japan who would be able to collaborate
> by providing insects collected from the field for the first part of
> her project? I would pass on the names of these people to her, and
> she will contact them directly. The insects are 1) Japanese beetle
> (Popillia japonica), 2) calico scale (Eulecanium cerasorum) and 3)
> fall webworm (Hyphantria cunea).
